Each card is fantastically illustrated to represent the individual sportsperson and shows their dates, their flag of birthplace and seven gripping facts about them, including a joker fact about each Sports Hero to surprise and/or entertain
Our Sports Heroes start with the first century BCE Athenian, Pheidippides, said to be the first person to run the marathon. We then charge forwards with heroes like Captain Webb, WG Grace, de Coubertin, who helped devise the modern Olympics, Suzanne Lenglen, Jesse Owens, Sonia Henie, Don Bradman, Juan Fangio, Tanni Grey-Thompson and many more. Our heroes in Sports Heroes come from a range of sports, such as athletics, boxing, football, golf, F1 racing, tennis, rugby, baseball, cricket, basketball, gymnastics, ice skating and squash.
How to Play
There are many ways of playing History Heroes quiz card games. Each pack gives suggestions on how to play, or you can make up your own rules if everyone playing agrees to them!
Win the game by winning the character cards, and you win the cards by guessing/knowing the facts ab out each History Hero. You can use the images as clues and you can use the different levels of facts to make it as easy or as hard as you want to play the game.
